COURSE DESCRIPTIONThe course starts in the heart of the Hunua Ranges Regional Park at the Mangatawhiri Dam. Runners traverses the Ranges to the rural town of Clevedon. The highlights include a scenic view of the reservoir, native bush, forestry and farmlands. The course is 100% runnable and made up of a combination of gravel and chip-seal roads. The 25km is an achievable course for athletes of all abilities. |

AID STATIONSTwo aid stations are located at check point three and four. The 25km course offers you the opportunity to refuel, rehydrate and prepare for the next sector of your journey. Aid Stations have water, GU electrolyte drink, bananas, muesli bars, lollies and a whole lot more.
DROP BAGNo drop bag service is provided for the 25km event.
TRAINING ON THE COURSEAccess into the Clevedon end of the course on Otau Mountain Road is not permitted while logging trucks are operating on weekdays. We strongly advise you to use this road on weekends and public holidays only. Parking is prohibited at the top of Otau Mountain Road. Please keep the turning circle clear for service and emergency vehicles. BUS TRANSPORT TO RACE STARTS
If you do not have someone dropping you at the start line you can leave your car at the finish line at the A&P Showgrounds in Clevedon and get a bus to the start. Buses to the start of the Solo 25km start at 8:15am.
Please allow yourself plenty of time to get parked, registered if you haven’t done it on Friday, and to the bus stop in time for its departure. The Bus trip is approximately 35min long. FINISHER MEDALAll 25km finishers receive a medal.
AWARDSAll awards are awarded at the prize-giving which will take place at 2:00pm in front of the stage at the A&P Showgrounds. Awards will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd placing in each age group category for Men and Women in the Solo 25km, and will be based on participants mat time. The age group categories are as follows for men and women;
Solo 25KM 16-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, 70+ years. CUT OFF TIMESCut off times are in force for your safety. No athlete will be alowed to procede on the course after the below times.
